5 sentence journal #6
Marvin had an unhappy childhood, he cried him self to sleep every night. He was the eldest of 13 and always had to take care of his younger siblings. He father left when he was 6 and his mother was an alcoholic who was addicted to heroin. He had to provide for everyone and had a job by the age 13; he had to look out for his mother while making sure his siblings ate, got good grades and stayed in school. He never had a chance to do any of the things other kids his age did because he was literally an adult by the age of 14, he didn’t know who to turn to for help if anyone found out they would call AC and put his mom in jail.
